Air Quality Data for Boulder, Colorado (City of Boulder)

We are in the middle of fire season. Below is the beginning of a snapshot of historical trends in air quality over time. Right now it only shows Boulder, CO but other locations could easily be added.

Also right now the data are being collected manually from the EPA website. In the future that also may change as the data are available via an API.

Below the daily data are summarized via a "box and whisker" visualization. This shows you the monthly average (mean) of the data and the spread of the data year to year. You can see trends in higher AQI values in the summer months starting in 2020.

Points in a box plot represent outlier values that deviate or are futher away from the core range of values around the mean.
